Healthway Medical Centre offers physician-supervised NAD+ IV infusion in Malta, with doses up to 1200 mg considered individually. An appointment begins with a medical assessment and a discussion of your reasons for requesting treatment. The doctor explains the available evidence, uncertainties, alternatives and risks before deciding whether an infusion is appropriate.

What is NAD+?

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, or NAD+, is a molecule involved in normal cellular processes, including energy metabolism. Its role inside the body does not by itself prove that giving it intravenously produces a particular health benefit. Laboratory findings and research on oral NAD-related supplements should not be treated as proof of the effects of an NAD+ infusion.

What the evidence can tell us

Human research on intravenous NAD+ remains limited. Small studies have examined metabolism and tolerability, but they do not establish broad claims about energy, cognition, addiction recovery, anti-ageing or longevity. An infusion is not a replacement for investigating persistent symptoms or for established treatment of a diagnosed condition.

Before and during an appointment

Your consultation covers symptoms, treatment expectations, allergies, previous infusion reactions, medicines and relevant health conditions. Testing may be advised when clinically indicated. If treatment proceeds, the prescribed preparation is delivered through a vein. The dose, infusion rate and observation plan are selected by the clinician; symptoms during treatment should be reported immediately.

Risks and follow-up

Intravenous treatment can cause bruising, local irritation, infection or an adverse reaction. Nausea or other infusion-related symptoms may require slowing or stopping treatment and medical review. Product quality and suitability for intravenous administration matter. The doctor discusses aftercare and whether further review is needed; a course of repeated infusions is not automatically necessary.

Important

Benefits cannot be guaranteed. NAD+ IV infusion is not offered as a proven anti-ageing, longevity or disease-modifying treatment. Suitability is decided after medical assessment.
