Named clinical responsibility

Dr. Miloš Rakić, medical doctor, Medical Council of Malta registration 3509, is Healthway Medical Centre's clinical editorial lead and designated clinical reviewer. About Dr. Rakić and the clinic.

This identifies who is responsible for clinical editorial decisions. It does not mean that every article, translation or external video has been individually reviewed. A completed clinical review should be identified on the specific item with the reviewer's name and review date. If those details are absent, individual clinical review has not been documented on that item.

Purpose and scope

Our service pages, patient FAQ, lifestyle articles, dictionary, news summaries and tools provide general education and help people prepare for care. They do not diagnose a condition, certify fitness, prescribe treatment or replace an individual consultation. For emergencies in Malta call 112.

Sources and strength of evidence

We aim to use original research, relevant guidelines and recognised public-health or regulatory sources. Where a page cites evidence, readers should be able to follow the source. News summaries should distinguish observational associations from causal findings, animal or laboratory work from human evidence, and preliminary findings from established practice. Regulatory approval in another country does not establish availability or approval in Malta.

Clinical review and updates

Clinical review should check accuracy, important limitations, safety advice and relevance to the intended audience. Substantive changes or significant new guidance should prompt reassessment. An article's publication date, its technical update date and a clinical review date are different; changing the website layout does not count as a new medical review.

Archived news stays at its original address and reflects the evidence available when it was written. Readers should check newer guidance before making a care decision. We do not silently give old articles a new publication date.

AI assistance and automated news

AI may assist drafting, summarising or translating content. Automatically prepared news is labelled on the article. Automated checks against a source are not clinical review and can miss errors. A clinician's name is not added as a completed reviewer merely because software generated or checked an article.

Translations

Translations improve access but can contain errors or wording that differs from the English source. Clinical meaning, medicine names and urgent advice need particular care. Ask the clinic to clarify anything uncertain. Translating a page is not, by itself, a fresh clinical review.

External videos and publishers

Third-party videos and articles remain their publishers' work. We show source details and links where available. Including or linking a resource does not imply a partnership, endorsement by its publisher, or permission to reproduce its material beyond the applicable terms. Recommendations may differ between countries and individual patients.

Commercial interests

Healthway is a private clinic and has a commercial interest in its own services. Service descriptions should explain the service without guaranteeing outcomes or suggesting that every patient needs it. Any paid placement, sponsorship or relevant commercial relationship in educational content should be clearly identified.

Corrections and questions

Please send the page address, the wording you are concerned about and any relevant source to info@healthwaymalta.com, with “Website content correction” in the subject. Dr. Rakić is the clinical contact for concerns about accuracy or safety. Substantive corrections should be explained on the affected content. Please do not include confidential patient details in a public feedback message.
